Whole Horse Horsemanship
Learn the fundamentals of working with horses instead of being a passenger with Stride by Stride Horsemanship in Penfield, NY. Specializing in a wholeistic approach to working with horses through mind, body, and why, and how all of these are intertwined.
Whether it's in an English or Western saddle, along the trail, in the show ring, or over fences, Stride by Stride Horsemanship in Rochester NY and the surrounding areas will work with you to reach Equestrian goals.
Weekly Lessons
Lessons are given weekly in hunt seat or western disciplines, utilizing Laura's horses or your own at the farm in Penfield. Haul-ins welcome.
Purchased in monthly sessions $200/per month for 1 on 1 weekly private session. Ages six and up, no prior experience required!
Introduction to Horsemanship
A snapshot of what Stride by Stride Horsemanship has to offer can be found in a one-time two-hour session. Up to two people, these sessions start from the ground to the saddle. A great gift idea for the aspiring Equestrian or maybe those wanting to try something new.
- Year-round availability. Set up a session today!
- $100 per person. Limit of two riders.
- Additional fees are applied to auditors beyond adults accompanying children.
Camp
We’re excited to offer assorted in-season camps to add to your horsemanship journey. Offered at the facility [link to facility page] in Penfield, NY, we’ll practice and apply what is learned while working with the horses three times a week. All the camps are partial-day camps from 9am-noon, three times per week listed.
Riders ages 6 and up are welcome. Stay tuned for adult-only dates as well! Daily riding or ground work along with a curriculum ranging from routine practice of equine care and maintenance, study of equine anatomy and common disorders and much more!
Girl Scout Troop Badge
Learn to earn! In the Scout Session, troops will learn the basics of horses, from handling, care, behavior, safety to riding. By the end of the session, you’ll understand what makes a horse, a horse!
Duration: 2 hours, Minimum of 4 Scouts in attendance. Call for pricing.
Photo Sessions
Stride by Stride Horsemanship provides a rustic, natural backdrop for your family, holiday, event, or creative project photos. Choose from open meadows, rolling fields, wooded trails, our pond area, or the barn to create the perfect setting.
We provide the horses and backgrounds; you bring the photographer, along with your own props, or incorporate the charm of the farm.
Price: $250 for 90 minutes.
Remote Riding
Take your lessons at your home stable with our Virtual Riding Instruction. While we’re in the Rochester, NY area, you can be wherever home is. Scheduled for an hour, you’re able to connect via the platforms provided and ride with Stride By Stride Horsemanship. A strong internet connection is recommended.
